Default AC thoughts

I grabbed the line from the compressor it's cold. Inside - the top (defrost) position works as does the 'front panel' setting. When set to 'floor + front'' nothing from the floor. AC not nearly as cold as it should be. I tried a 'self fill' kit and it shows on the high side.

is the 'top-front-floor' flapper different from the 'hot-cold' flapper?

Did you check for any codes? It could be from a deteriorated vacuum line also. Mine was stuck on defrost and it turned out the bottom nipple in the vacuum canister broke off.

No codes - at least none that the DIC presented to me. Will it "hide" noncritical codes - you had to go digging for the one you found?

It shouldn't hide codes, not that I've heard of. There's a vacuum line from behind the intake that goes down to the vacuum canister then branches of from there. That controls the changes in the a.c. zones. You might wanna check those lines and canister. The canister is located behind the passenger inner fender well. Almost directly behind the hole in the fender.
