Nice job on the install. I bolted my BP HD9 as well in both garages I've erected it in. Bolting it down makes it that much more stable.

Thanks all for the nice compliments! I've been wanting one for awhile now and finally got the garage door redone so that it lifts high enough so I can fit the lift in. I already changed out the oil in the Vette this weekend. Omg so much easier.

Patches.. I wouldn't have it any other way. Bolting it down is much safer and was a piece of cake.

Awesome on the lift - can you share your specs - I have been looking at getting a lift and have a low ceiling garage (102") what version BendPak did you go with and 120 or 240? and what is your ceiling height?

DN69427.. I went with the Bendpak HD-9 220V... my ceiling height is 128" and I had the garage door redone so it lifts to where it's only 4-5" off the ceiling which gives me a good 120" of room. This lift will fit in your garage with that height but you wouldn't be able to lift a car to the full height. Here's the specs of my lift...

Lifting capacity*: 9,000 lbs. / 4,082 kg
*Max capacity / front axle: 4,500 lbs. / 2,041 kg
*Max capacity / rear axle: 4,500 lbs. / 2,041 kg
Overall width: 110‐1/4” / 2,800 mm.
Outside length: 174" / 4,420 mm
Overall length: 200" / 5,080 mm
Height of columns: 88" / 2,235 mm
Runway min height: 4-1/2" / 114 mm
Max rise: 70" / 1,778 mm
Max lifting height: 74-1/2" / 1,892 mm
Width between posts: 100‐1/4” / 2,555 mm.
Runway width: 19" / 483 mm
Width between runways: 37-1/2" - 44-3/8" / 952 - 1,127 mm
Length of runways: 164" / 4,166 mm
Min. wheelbase @ rated capacity: 115" / 2,921 mm
Min. wheelbase @ 75% capacity: 100" / 2,540 mm
Min. wheelbase @ 50% capacity: 85" / 2,159 mm
Min. wheelbase @ 25% capacity: 70" / 1,778 mm
Locking positions: 12
Lock spacing: every 4" / 102 mm
Lifting time: 45 sec
Motor: 220 VAC / 60 Hz / 1 Ph

Cool addition to your garage. I wish I had been farsighted enough to have designed my garage to accommodate a lift when we built our house.

thank you so much for the info - I have been looking at ways to "tray" the ceiling in my garage to give me some extra head room - but happy to know I can still get one to fit.
