I wanted to weigh in to see if any forum members have a moment to weigh in on suggesting a fair asking/selling price for my 2001 Z06. I realize I might be setting myself up for some lashings, but I hope there might be a few of you out there that can suggest a fair Forum asking/selling price. I might also take it to Corvettes at Carlisle in August if I don't sell it before then.
Here are the details:

The FS section is really not the section to post up a thread asking for opinions on a selling price. You need to specify a price in that section. So, I am moving this to C5 General where recommendations on a price can be given. Once you have a price in mind, re-post your car for sale in the FS section.
Even though it has low miles, it's still an 01. I think 23K-24K is unrealistic. 20K-21K is more feasible.
Shakey
I'd start at 21.5K and expect 20 +/- a few hundred. Got my MY '03 w/24,xxx mi. for $22,750 last fall, dealer was asking 24,995. Close to perfect inside & out.

Amazing how well the z's are holding their value. Similar situation with me in '11. Dealer was asking $24,995, I paid $23k. 03, MY, 36k, stock one owner car in very good condition.
If you take it to Carlisle - you can bet that guys will be using Corvette DNA to determine value and may lower it more due to the road rash you mentioned on your rim.

Best of luck selling - I love the C5 in yellow!
I would think the '01 auto version would be worth a lot more, that is a very rare option! (It never happened)

Where are the auto C5Zs? I guess if you have one of those, it is truly a collectors item.
I go with knewblewkorvette above on the price. If its super clean as you describe with those low miles and is non-modded and you come across a lover of mil yellow, I think a love or hate it color, you might do better than expected. By the way, I love mil yellow C5's!!! Good luck!
You do mention tires but what tires do you have on the car? Good tires for a Z06 can go all over the place from anywhere at $800 to well above $2,000 and above. I feel an informed buyer who takes the price of tires into account would possibly be willing to pay a little more considering how it seems like so many Corvette owners don't seem to understand tires (case in point; those that for some crazy insane reason are driving targa coupes with OEM run-flats).
Regardless I agree with the $22K starting price based on mileage alone, but I feel you're going to get low-balled like crazy due to the heavily saturated market.
With those miles and fresh tires I wouldn't take a dollar less than $23k.
The buyer would be getting an awesome deal. He wont mind the price one bit the 1st time he takes it out for a drive.
Depends on the market in your particular region. In MN I wouldn't settle for anything less than 23K if the wheel curb rash is "very" minor. That said it would be a cause for concern for me personally and could be a cause for the buyer to look for a discount from whatever price you are asking with the thinking that they may want to replace the wheel!

Thanks for your input. I guess I should have been more descriptive about the curb rash on the one wheel. It is about 2-3" long, and only along the 1/8" lip that sticks out where the wheel meets the tire.
As for the tires that Tony's Corvette Shop installed 500 miles ago, they were the GoodYear Eagle F1 Supercar tires.

You're absolutely right. I should have been more descriptive about the tires. Tony's Corvette Shop installed the GoodYear Eagle F1 Supercar tires 500 miles ago. keep in mind that some here are a bit prejudice. They want to think there car is worth more then what the market bares. 01 low miles is a 20k car at best. You can ask 22k but if someone offers 20 id sell id except it fast. If it were a 2004 22-23 might be in the ball park but not for an 01. What hurts is at 23 a guy can pick up a nice mid miles c6 ls3.
