Default A4Tranny Issue 2004

So I had a bit of work done on my 04 vert. I had long tube headers, x pipe, high flow cats, cai, rear changed out to 3:42. All of the above was done at a shop, then tuned. The car has 67k miles on her. Since the work was done when I beat on her even on a highway kicking in from 65 to like 75 or 80 mph to change lanes or pass I start getting a weird feeling while at highway speeds but when I come to a stop at a light when she moves off the light the shift from first to second almost throws you thru the windshield. 2nd to 3rd is almost as bad. It's like I'm throwing a code without a code coming up. The car doesn't die or even run rough it just like overheats the tranny if I kick the pedal down. If I turn the key off and restart she shifts normally. Tranny fluid was changed out when the work was done about 2k miles ago. This is my daily driver and I watch how I drive and shouldn't have to. This has happened several times over the last few months. Then yesterday was the first time in a while. My bad. I forgot I can't drive my vette fast? Any one have any ideas?

You know that's what I'm thinking. I'm kind of afraid to bring it back to the same shop. Maybe I'll just bite the bullet and get it retuned some place else.

When the shop changed the rear end to 3:42, did they program that new ratio into the PCM?

Bluefire weird thing about that. I had the car tuned a few years back and actually loved the seat of the pants difference / and that was before any upgrades/ When I had it tuned this time (different Tune Guy) he mentioned that some parts of my old tune were missing like the tuner missed tuning certain things and that it had been tuned as if I had a 3:42 rear end. The current guy said it was already tuned for 3:42 rear and i wouldn't notice much there. I really don't notice much anywhere as any time I go to kick it in I get that trans issue. I've been researching other tuners in my area and the crazy part is they guy who tuned my car recently seems to be the best in the biz around Tampa St Pete area

It could also be the 2-3 shift solenoid/connector.
What do you mean a "weird feeling" accelerating from 60 to 75? Does it downshift?

Pull your codes. I'm betting you'll see P1870. If so do a search here for P1870. Should provide some insight into your issue.
