To follow up on my previous post, I purchased a Z06 air box, tried to mount it to my stock MAF (2000 Coupe), and the opening was way too large to fit my MAF.

Yes, mounted the Z06 air box to my stock tube. I just took my airbox off and installed the Z06 air box. I did not change the MAF...

OK...I think I get it. On my 2000 coupe the MAF is mounted next to the air cleaner. Looks like those who mounted a Z06 to their non-Z06, have the MAF up by the throttle body.
No wonder the Z06 air cleaner won't fit my 2000 (as configured with MAF next to a/c).........................
