Default QTP Cutouts

HI All,

I have a 02 z06. Currently I have a set of TSP 1 7/8ths headers installed with cat deletes straight into the stock TI exhaust. I've been working with qtp about the install. They've advised I cannot weld these onto the ti exhaust...and that if I weld them off the end of the header where the cat would have been...that I'll have major back pressure issues.

Do any of you have this set up? If so, is it all true thay I can't bolt or weld at the end of the header since it would he steel to steel?

Agree with above. Really don't think dumping catless, open exhaust out right after the headers is smart (harmful fumes, smell, obnoxiously loud, heat in cabin...).
Can't believe how loud some people want their car.

@efx - I still have the stock h pipe on the car. Not positive of that's titanium or steel. If so...I'm guessing I could go on it up there. I don't want them directly under me.

@grantv - only doing cutouts so I can open it when I'm at a car show or the track...keep them closed when I'm going to work or daily driving. Best of both worlds...or at least trying.

Stock H pipe is steel. Ti is only axleback pipes/mufflers.
