While inspecting why I have differential fluid on my garage floor I found 2 missing bolts. Looks like they attach the differential to the subframe. Anyone know what size nuts these should be?
The nut that holds the master cylinder reservoir to the booster is the same size. Lucky right? Off to Home Depot to get the actual size and some replacements. Anyone know the torque spec for these things?
I'm wondering if theres some kind of bushing or washer that goes there too. Looks like there are marks there from something bigger than a nut. Were you having any noises or anything like that while driving? I'd be surprised if there wasn't a clunk every now and then.
I don't know. I added a washer and a locking washer. Previous owner said the transmission had to be replaced under warranty a few months after he bought it so I'm guessing the dealer tech never reinstalled the nuts. I have not noticed any strange noises from the rear end.

Wow, that is a big pair of nuts to forget

My old 350z was apparently missing the nut on the lower motor mount when I bought it.
On one high rpm fast shift it literally lifted the entire driveline and shifted it over to the side. The vibration was so bad I thought I had blown the motor.
Thats why they say don't show off for girls, but I did it a bunch of times after that anyways.
