Default Poltergeist in my wipers?

Had a doctors appointment today in Phoenix and as I am heading home to Payson I had an issue I am not sure what it is.

Sunny day about 1,000 degrees outside cruising down the highway and for no reason the wipers started and ran intermittently like on the lowest setting. I would turn the switch on and off and run through the intermittent setting and finally it would stop.....then a few minutes later it would start again. I thought I was going to have to pull the wiper fuse.

I couldn't find anything in the search feature about this, anyone have a clue?? PLEASE......feel free to chime in.

Is it the switch most likely?

If you've had rain recently, check to make sure your wiper motor did not get water inside - could be plugged udders.

If no rain, could be the multifunction switch on the steering column.

Read the attached file.

Thanks man for the help, sounds like the second one you posted, I did just wash the car today a couple hours before it started. I will clean out all those drains and hopefully that will fix it.

Your awesome!
