Default Dash bulbs

Now that I am doing some night driving, I notice a few were out, the "options" & "fuel" bulbs were burnt out.
Doing a lot of research on this and I do not want led, want to keep it stock, the only bulb I have found is this one https://www.mcmaster.com/#1505k414/=wpxtk

I dont want one brighter than the rest as I am **** with stuff. Does anyone know for sure if this is it?

tia

If you buy that bulb ^ you will have to take the burnt out oem bulb out of it's tiny housing and then put the new one in the tiny housing - sort of a pita to be honest. I am an LED lover, so I may be biased.

Not sure what you got against LEDs as they do last longer, they'll out live the car. The gauge cluster light bulbs are not hard to change, but you have to do allot to get to them. I just did mine this winter but change to blue LEDs.

These -

Then Finally, this -

Like blew says, you have to do allot to get it done. But well worth the effort in my opinion.

Same as regular bulbs, twist in. No wiring, no soldering, just like factory bulbs.

Can you guys recommend a reputable place with good quality bulbs so I can order these? I want to order all the bulbs so I have, how many do I need in total?

The DIC switch takes 3 bulbs and the HUD switch takes 4 (but the housings are smaller). You said you don't want LEDs, so you will probably find the bulbs you need at the traditional places for car parts.

I didnt realize that led's could be installed without alteration, I am considering buying leds now for the dash. They do look good. My Car does not have the HUD option.

^ this guy has quality LEDs. There are also some forum vendors who sell them.

The first set I bought were from an eBay vendor and 2 of those lights didn't last 6 months - pissed me off because I had to tear the dash apart again . Then when I got the set from the link above I could tell right away just by looking at them, they were a much higher quality than what I got the first time.

Sure, no problem, glad to help.

I only went with red because my car is AE Red, I'm guessing KnewBlewKorvette did his in blue because his car is blue. If I had a black car, I'd do white. But know that they will be a much brighter white than the dingy white the stock bulbs put out. After you do those you may want to swap out the lights on the door switches as well (much easier BTW) so everything matches.

Good luck with whatever you chose.

Ohh yeah, there is a nice LED replacement for your shifter too - night and day difference.

I started my transformation today, purchased the white leds and did all but the DIC. Much improvements!

Thanks again for the information and the source to buy from!
