Stupid question?
If one needed a new convertible top for a C5, and there was another c5 convertible being parted out and it had a nice top, could one just remove the whole assembly and swap it over to the other car?
The movable frame and top, is it bolted on to some kind of pivot to the car?
This is one of those hypothetical questions just out of curiosity.

I would not be afraid to swap frame and all to another Corvette. I have swapped older convertible frames in C2, C3 and even C4. You may have to adjust windows to get a good seal and any other adjustments per the factory service manuals that may be required.
