ACA headlight units modified by RadioFlyer to align high beams correctly. HID low beams, HIR high beams, HID fog lights. Plus the Hi-4 harness and a DIY harness to keep fogs on with high and low beams (may be illegal in most states and caution must be used to avoid blinding oncoming traffic). Also LED strip corner lights from RadioFlyer with LED DRL's.

Agreed, but until I upgrade to projectors for the high beams, the HIR's came closest to matching. If they were on by themselves they are actually very bright. It is only when they are on with the rest that the comparison is evident. Maybe this winter for the upgrade.

I bought the 8000K a few years ago, but still haven't installed them.

Hey, thanks man. Guess I'm in for a couple new either lens or the entire fog lights.... After 18 years, they do get beat up.

Thanks, again.

That's a bit too simplistic. I added a set of stock c5 fogs to my Z. There was no cutoff bar in there. In addition, the reason I brought up older lights is due to the fact that fog lights are focused differently than regular headlight beams and remain so. I made my remark because if a lens is a half sphere for fog light purposes, I don't understand how a bulb change is going to change it to a projector which focuses the light for distance work.
Daniel Stern does not like fog lights because he feels it causes drivers to look more at the bright road directly in front of the car instead of 'down the road' which all regular headlights are designed for.

When you pass 6000k the color goes blue and the light output declines.

Actually, while 6700k is the color temp of a noon day sun in the tropics, on a car 4100k-4300k shines as white in the dark. Anything above starts to get bluer.

That's why, if I have a choice, I stick with 5000.

They are indeed projectors but the design of the lens, being that they are true fog lights and not driving lights, is such that the light becomes more diffused than penetrating down the road (in fog, you almost have to drive with peripheral vision!). That's why most people don't realize the C5 fogs are projectors.

It shows the color chart on the box, I wasn't sure at the time I bought it, I would go with 5000K now.

Yes, it's kind of tough to know what to get initially because technically, the 6500k - 7100k range is white. BUT, when projected from a car, even that temp range shines blue. 8000 degrees kelvin would surely be very blue. 4300k is technically more yellow, but when projecting from headlights, you see pure white. When people see me coming with my 4300k bulbs, they see white headlights, not "look-at-my-mod" blue!

So they ARE projectors designed to cast a broad, diffused light like a true fog.

I keep hesitating on buying the halo rears, but they just look so good. I just need to pull the trigger and buy them at some point.

Before you spend money on new lens/lights, a little rubbing compound and some 1000 grit wet sandpaper will do wonders to clarify the glass lens.
