Started on Saturday with a trip with my son to Le Claire for the Vette's on the river show. After the show a short drive to Moline and a great Bob Seger concert. Bob can still rock at 72 years old! Sunday I take my new to me Vette to a local car show and win my first ever trophy and it's a first place no less! What a great weekend!

Thanks all. I have a question on judging at car shows for anyone with knowledge. This was my first show ever and was very shocked to win. The class was C5 thru C7. Parked right next to me was an immaculate 2011 Grand Sport convertible Lingenfelter edition. My car has 63k miles and chips on the mirrors and rockers to prove it. The 2011 was perfect and the judges awarded 2nd place to him. Does it have to do with age and condition?

I do allot of car shows and I can tell you this, you'll never find out why people vote the way they do. At one show I got "Best of Show" trophy and the next year at the same place, I didn't even make the top 50.
