Default C5 Convertible lid damage

I am having a problem with my c5 convertible top and wonder if there is an adjustment. The rear lid that opens and closes to store the top is being damaged by the top in a couple of ways. First, there is a rub mark (paint has worn off) about the diameter of a Pencil eraser on the elevated, curved part of the lid behind the driver. Second, the front edge of the lid actually being broken by the poles that hold up the top. I think it is happening when I open the top. The poles swing back and hit the lid? Ideas? Adjustments? Thanks

If you are talking about a "rub" mark where I have indicated (blue circle) in this picture - unfortunately its very common. Every convertible C5 owner I've talked to has that exact rub mark in the same spot.

I didn't think I had that mark, so I just went out and looked. By golly it has started to wear through the clear coat right in that spot..

That is exactly where the rub mark is! And if you moved down around the semi-circle to the left where the hatch ends, that is where the fiberglass is being broken down by the frame of the top.
