seats slide a little

Default seats slide a little

2001 corvette....when accelerating or braking...the drivers and passenger seats slide about an inch forwards or backwards...anyone know how to fix this?

Go to You tube, find the tutorial for C5 rocking chair fix.. watch it a few times and decide whether or not you can do this.,,,

Its relatively easy if you have some mechanical ability and can follow the directions closely. And SO worth it, once its fixed it feels so much better.

BTW,

You can find already modified nylon washer kits online that will make the repair go faster.

Put seat all the way back and push with your feet and bump control a couple more times and it won't move back and fourth. That will not fix it but will make it less annoying until you get it fixed.

A number of vendors here on the forum sell kits to fix the rocking seat problem. Good luck with the repair.

Print out the instructions, pick up the washers and take the car to a trim shop. That's what I did.

I barely notice it. I have my seat all the way back so maybe it isn't as bad as others.

Same thing in my passenger seat. Just told the wife that it's the roller coaster effect GM put into the vehicle to make it more fun.


She didn't buy it, but I thought it was funny as hell
