CalGuy, If you want to see a projector HID setup in a C5 and HID in the stock housing let me know. My C5 has a low rise HID projector setup I got from JWMotoring 5 years ago or so. My buddy has HIDs in the stock housing. I am a couple of miles north of Disneyland.
Do you actually think I care that you blocked yourself from reading my post?
You need to get a life .
GB,GL, AND GR.
Now, can we all get back to the subject at hand?
I see videos on you tube being done by people who have no ax to grind, or bias toward any one particular brand of lighting.
These bulbs seem to all be a "just plug it in" type of situation, with no mention of projector, or reflective lenses.
With these led's, don't they project enough light, in the right places?
Seems simple enough, remove the existing bulbs, and replace with these led's.
As for heat build up, many have a built in heat sink, or fan to keep them cool.
I am really confused about this lighting issue.
The only thing I am not confused about is, I would never spend anywhere near $600- $1000 for headlights.
Even if I had that much extra money, I don't see headlights as being worth that amount of money.
There has to be a happy medium when changing out headlights.

Send me a PM to schedule a meeting.

Looking forward to it.
Won't be for at least two weeks as I have some work on the property that I will be dong all next week.
Really? REALLY? ARE YOU THAT INCAPABLE OF READING AND COMPREHENDING!?
Did you not read the post I quoted? He said "check outthe Vleds website as a reference... LED is in, HID is out." No, LEDs are not in. HIDs are not out. Neither are halogens.
And if you think I'm being edgy, that's not even half of it right now. I just got majorly pissed off by my boss, so think before you respond next time. Or you might earn yourself a block, because I don't come on this forum to deal with willful stupidity, I deal with enough of that crap at work.
And being in the S.F. Bay area, I bet you see a lot of that!
Well, I went with LED'S, and they are great.
Tremendous improvement over the stock lights.
No problem with the headlight doors opening and closing like some have had.
I'm satisfied.

Let’s try and keep the discussion civil. Please knock off the name calling, etc and just have an rational discussion of the topic at hand. You can disagree without all the .
Boy !!!!! this thread has really gone off track. went to read it because I too hate the stock lighting. had my mechanic change bulbs to ones he looked into and told much better than oem. the new ones suck just as bad. he does not recall the bulbs used but will try to find out. if not 9012/9011 going to try those. was thinking going projector complete unit. after reading all this !!!!!!! think I will just keep driving with my hi beams on as no one seems to mind. "KISS" way too much conflict as what is good and right.
