Don’t know how to fix it. But autoclockrepair.com sells good units all led.

But hopefully someone can tell
you how to fix yours instead

My experience with auto clock repair was bad. The Dual Zone HVAC controller I bought from them had a lot of cosmetic damage and honestly the LED conversion was shoddy. They did however quickly refund my purchase price.

I recommend Dave’s Corvette Illuminations. Check his site c5led.com for details. He replaced the LEDs in my HVAC Controller with excellent results. His phone # is on the site. He can probably tell you if yours is repairable.

Mickey - thanks for sharing that source for the repair. I do not need mine repaired yet, but good to know where to turn when and if the time comes.

I used Dave to repair my 98's HVAC controller. Everything went well.

In researching this some people state the controllers are year specific, and some say that all the C5's with the Electronic control fit. Can someone who knows for sure offer some input? It would surely make the process easier.

I would like to pick something up so I can use the car and then I would be able to have mine checked out.

Thanks to all in advance.

I thought there was a Forum vendor who converted the Digital HVACs to LED. Basically, you ship him your unit and they perform the conversion and any repairs. Try a few searches and an older thread might pop up.

I know for a fact you can switch between a 98 and a 02 because I've done it. My 98's had the dim display so I sent it into Dave for the fix and blue LEDs. I then put the fixed one in my blue 02 and took the 02's ok one and put it in my 98. All was well.

I just bought one from autoclockrepair and couldn't be happier. Looks great and price was lowest I could find.

I’m glad your experience was better than mine. But for me, I’ll deal with Corvette Illuminations @ C5led.com.
