Is the problem that you can’t see it at all in daylight or just when the sun is hitting the display at a certain angle? Mine will wash out when very bright sunlight hits the display at the right angle. First, try turning up the brightness using the slider on the HUD control panel. Or make sure the HUD display level is adjusted to where you can see it.

Can you see the display in low light or darkness? A little more info might help with a diagnosis.

Are you wearing sunglasses during the day? That cuts down on the visibility of the HUD.

The problem is that l cannot see it in sun light at any angle. The HUD appears to be working correctly at low light or at night.I have played around with the adjustment which does not improve anything.I do find that for me to see it, l have to have the display turned to full light. The vehicle has been converted to right hand drive (car is in Australia) so l don’t know if the windscreen would normally have something built into the left side of the windscreen to help with the illumination in sun light.

From another forum:

"The HUD glass has a specialty reflective film laminated in the area where the HUD image is projected in addition to the typical film that is laminated in between the two layers of windshield glass. It actually has a .3mm taper from the base of the windshield to the top of the HUD area on the glass.
Many owners have added a HUD after the fact in to a car without the specialty windshield and it is virtually indistinguishable from one done from the factory with the HUD glass. Without the special film it is what I describe to people as a 95% solution in that 95% of the time you would never know that it didn't come that way based on the HUD projected image. Without the added film is can be viewed as not quite as clear an image and in the brightest of direct sunlight conditions the HUD image will be affected on the car without the film more than on the car with the reflective film."

So you will have to enjoy it the way it is.

Hi, thanks for the response. l did think that that may be the problem and about week ago l ordered a piece of film on eBay for an aftermarket HUD. I am hoping this may fix the problem.

Thanks again
