oops did it again--Z06 in da house
Having had the pleasure of owning a C3 (still have it), C4 Collectors Edition, C6 Grand Sport and losing out on an opportunity of purchasing a C7 Z; fate bestowed upon me and I stumbled upon this C5 Z. It is a 2004 Commemorative Edition with 11k miles. I am back in the saddle driving a Vette.
I was hesitant on getting a Z because of the horrible experience driving the C4 manual. Between the long travel, heavy clutch and high grab point, the car was not very city tolerant. Only good thing was the short shifter installed. Lucky the C5 Z was the opposite. Lite clutch, acceptable grab height and positive engage shifter. Easy to feather up a hill or in tight quarters.
I crossed my fingers on the color; not having seen the LeMans blue in person. Every picture I have seen shows a different shade. No worries now, it is a beautiful rich blue with a deep look about it. The stripes are awesome. The short time I have had it, I catch people staring at the car.
This is the first time I had a car transported to my house. Very interesting experience watching the car come down the elevated lift semi for the first time. Yep, purchased the car sight unseen.
Worked with a great salesman, kudos to John Elway Chevy who did the preinspection, and a great transport company--the owner is a mercedes collector and lives in the next town over from me.
Bad thing, winter is coming fast, but I have a few weeks left to enjoy before storage.

Great find, she is really clean. I bought mine in August with 900 miles on her .You are correct she turns heads wherever we go. I changed to a shorty antenna and new tires, keeping the balance original. Good luck . See you in the spring

I have the shorty in the trunk. Lousy reception by me so need the longer antenna. The dealer put new tires on the car as the 2004 original tires were deemed unsafe.
