Sad news but thanks for the update. Best wishes to Sandy, Matt and all who worked so hard to offer top quality leather interior products for so many years.
Please don't say that, I'm already getting nervous about buying a C5 for fear that replacement parts are becoming extinct...
You’re kidding I hope . Vendors are going to come and go ! And you better buy a post 2001 if you feel like that . Over 1000 posts , almost 2 years and you’re getting nervous ?
So...you watched "Mr. Peabody's Improbable History" cartoons (which were part of the Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoon show) back in the late 1950s. I did, too. Always amusing.

No I'm not kidding. The dwindling support for the C5, whether by GM or the aftermarket, is scary to someone who is looking to buy a C5, and should be scary to those who already own one. And what does my number of posts, or length of time on the site have to do with being nervous?

Grampi, your observation about dwindling vendor support is spot-on. It's a natural consequence of the age of the C5.
Pitty those who have ABMS issues with their 1997-2000 C5s. At least with the newer ones there are fixes (as documented in detail in this Forum). Some day folks will have only one or two choices for new seat covers, etc.
But that's the reality of where we are. Want lots of choices? Get a C6 or C7.
So now that VE is gone, who else is doing quality leather work? Specifically the seats.
Just about any upholsterer.
It's an easy job since they can use the the old covers as pattern pieces.
They can also do custom touches such as making the bolsters bigger, using different density foam, or offering a much larger choice of materials.
Thanks guys. My seats aren't ripped or anything, but they've certainly had better days and the Florida sun appears to have done a number on them. Glad to see I can get OEM skins from Mid America it looks like.

So many people with great experience ! You know what , join another forum , spend a year or two there . My neighbor has a 2006 s4 convertible, maybe youde be happy with that ! Better have some real money though . Or get a mustang or a challenger or a camara or something else . I’m sticking with my 2002 c5

And I’ll tell you why ! You have a lot to say , you don’t even own one , and now you trash the car! That’s why the number of posts, the length of wasted time on here is relevant to me ! Leave already!
