Default Clutch advice

I need to get a new clutch installed in my 02 zo6. I need a clutch that will hold 550 wrhp. What should I get installed how much do you think labor and materials will cost? I will be driving on the street and doing a little autocross. Im currently dynoed at 460 to rear wheels and I want a clutch that will hold 550 so I have a little room for more power.

Monster single disc level 2 or 3. Do a full kit with slave and remote bleeder. I’ve always performed my own labor, but I’d expect to pay $800-1500 depending on the place and the area you live.

Replace the rear main while there.

I have run a Spec 2/3 setup years ago back when I did the twin turbo setup (13 yrs ago)... good clutch, but there are certainly better out there now. But it did very well.

I didn't wear it out, but later, when I had things pulled part for a new ZR1-spec trans, I went with the DYAD clutch. I really like it.

I'm at 650+rwhp/620rwtq.

I'v had both the Monster 2, and McLeod RST. Monster 2 if you were drag racing, it's mass would help with launch. I used an Monster 18lb flywheel with the 2. RST and super light flywheel (9lbs) quick rev's, fast rev match shifts (both up and down), takes a little more rev's and slipping to get moving. Best used for track.

My 2 cents.

McLeod RST Twin Disk with McLeod Aluminum flywheel behind a Lingenfelter SBC 427 with 646 HP at the crank holds the power very well and is very streetable just like a stock clutch. And this is my Autocross car. I had a Tilton Triple Disk 5 1/2" and I hated it. It was a piece of stuff and I was so glad to take it out. I have used McLeod products in the past with no problems at all.

Definitely, the McLeod. The RST will take your horsepower with no problem.

Yes, I know that this is a C5 ZO6 discussion group and I am not a troll. The above info was about my C4 Autocross car and I do have a C5 ZO6 still with the stock clutch. My ZO6 is just a grocery getter and not an autocross car.
