I tried the Corvette Mods bra, but sent it back because it didn't fit right, and one of those elastic strings on the bottom pulled right out of the stitching. Anyone have experience with Colgan? I had a LeBra once on a different car, but the quality wasn't what I'd like to put on my C5. I like the carbon fiber look that Colgan offers. Any advise will be most appreciated. I have a big road trip planned for the spring.
Take a look at NoviStretch bra. Its very soft on the paint, its stretch-able mesh that allows the nose to breath and air out if it gets wet.
I have one and its the best money I've spent on my C5. Took me 15 min to install and I couldn't be happier with it. Takes 2 min to put on and/or remove - all done with snaps (that come with it).

My concern with the Novistretch is the thickness. If a good sized stone hits it I'm not sure it could hold up to the impact. Not to mention what would happen underneath.

Really the way to go is with the clear protective films like Expel Ultra or Suntek. If you're just doing the nose, you might get it done for as little as $300. I've done all of my newer Vettes with Expel. You really can't see it and it provides excellent protection from road debris.
I had a clear bra on my motorhome, and it developed a mold under it. Impossible to correct, had to remove it and throw it away. That kind of soured me on the clear ones.

Never had that happen. They have come a long way since their inception. Don't hear about mold underneath at all these days, certainly not on a garaged car. I've had it on 7 different cars and even my boat with no issues.
I have a Colgan bra and use it on road trips. It is ten years old and looks like new. It has traveled close to 50,000 miles. No chips on front end. Two minutes on and two minutes off. Great product.
The GM bra uses snaps which are installed in place of the screws that hold the outside front of the front wheel wells. There are also two snaps that are installed under the nose in place of screws.
What's nice about the NoviStretch bra is that it uses the same snaps and locations as the GM Bra1 The NoviStretch bra does not have the upper bra (fits the forward portion of the hood) that comes with the GM bra package.
I have both but I like the NoviStretch bra because it will dry much faster than the GM bra if it gets wet. Because the NoviStretch bra is more like a screen, water can pass thru. The GM bra inner lining can hold moisture. The NoviStretch bra probably won't completely protect the nose if it gets hit by bigger rocks or debris; the GM bra would do better.

I have used a GM bra on all three of my C5s and it provides excellent protection. That said, if you want another alternative, the Xpel film does a great job of protecting the car and is invisible on the car.
[IMG]https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.corvetteforum.com-vbulletin/2000x1493/80-I have this one on my 02 coupe and it is performing great. There is also a carbon fiber one available and you can choose whether or not to display the front emblem and license plate. I also have the matching side mirror covers. (my headlights are pinching the cover and I usually have them pulled over them--they still open & close fine.)
There is a sale for them at this time.
That fit is outstanding. That's exactly what I'm looking for. I called autoanything and ordered the Colgan carbon fiber. And it was cheaper than other places I looked. Thanks for the tip.

Glad I could help. FYI-the first install will have you uttering a few choice words due to the tight fitment(which gets better over time-I've had mine for over three years). If you are in a warm climate leave it in the sun for a couple of hours prior to install or set it in front of a heater or something of the sort. It will go on much easier. One other thing I do is a good cleaning of the nose along with a couple of coats of a GOOD wax and the slight streaks it leaves on the side will buff right off. Also, I use Chadwicks tire shine on mine about once a month and nothing (I'm looking at you bugs & bird crap) will stick to it.

Just a silly question...but you were worried about BIG rocks hitting your car - that's why you didn't like the Novi-Stretch - but don't you think those (7) big holes all over the front will let big rocks damage those (7) exposed areas?
The Novi-Stretch might not be as thick - but at least nothing is exposed...
