The Novi-Stretch might not be as thick - but at least nothing is exposed...
Just a FYI- The license plate area is actually a clear vinyl (I have a clear plastic cover under that too) and both the brake vents and the fog light areas expose very little painted surface--that goes for the sidelights as well. I've had mine on for over three years and the nose is completely free of any damage.

I know the plate is covered - that's why I said (7) exposed areas and not (8)...

There is clear vinyl covering the emblem too thus only 6 exposed areas.

Did you happen to have a problem attaching the last steel base on the fender? I bought a Colgan Bra for my C5, but the last hook for the fender is made of steel and does not attach; it stops right off.

If you are in a warm climate leave it in the sun for a couple of hours prior to install or set it in front of a heater or something of the sort. It will go on much easier. One other thing I do is a good cleaning of the nose along with a couple of coats of a GOOD wax and the slight streaks it leaves on the side will buff right off. Also, I use Chadwicks tire shine on mine about once a month and nothing (I'm looking at you bugs & bird crap) will stick to it.
I have many choice words for my 2001 C5 Colgan Bra installation. Did you have problems with the last steel hook on the fender? For me, it slips right off. See pic below

I have a Colgan for my Pontiac. You do have to adjust or bend the tabs to get them tight. The y come out of the box flat and you bend them to make the bra tight or retighten.

if a bra is Lise it will damage the paint flapping.

To get the original response may not come since it was so old.
