Hey guys, I come to you from the C6 (13GS) & C4 (89 Vert) sections. A guy I work with just put his 04 Z up for sale. Black on black, 92k, semi daily driven, all stock. Not a garage queen, looks like a 13 yr old car with close to 100k on the clock. He is asking $17k.
Anything specific I should look for ?
What are the major C5/Z06 problem areas ?
Give me the good/bad/ugly on these cars.

Thanks.

2004s have a common issue with the fuel tank design; thousands to fix.

Well I have one with 82,000 on it 500 HP . I love it ... Things go bad on the Corvettes like any other car . Here is the deal like most cars Corvette not any different that anything else some will say different ,none are cheap to have work done to them ..Yes the tank fuel pump is a pain for sure and some of the parts are not as cheap as some . If you can't not do some work on the 04 as things need to be replaced I would stay away from it . Dealers don't want to work on them a little old for most and finding a good shop ant much better so if you can't work yourself I would not buy it .. Its going to need something sooner or later .. Labor $85.00 /$125.00 Hr most shops . These old Hot Rods not relay to and from work rides not with lots miles on them .. Just my 2 cents.. Been working on them scene the 60s..
