Default 2004 Z06 tires

Hey all ,

Need some advice . Need new tires for my 04 Comm Z06. My tire place is telling me only option is the GY Eagles due to size and tread pattern. Is there any other brands i can put on the stock wheels with no issues ? Thanks Mark

Look at 275/40/17 or 255/40/17 for the fronts, they both work fine and open up a lot more choices.

Definitely... but I personally think the 265's already have too large a sidewall compared to the rear. I'd go 255 before 275. Or if possible, 305 out back.
To me this is noticeable and just doesn't look right (factory sizing):
265-40 sidewall = 4.17"
295-35 sidewall = 4.06"

if you get two more rear wheels for the front and run 18's front/rear you will have a ton of options.you could run 265 or 275/35/18 front and 295/35/18 rear.

I was thinking about doing this as well but after a lot of reading and looking at pics, if you use the factory 18x10.5 rears on the front won't the rim stick out a little bit from the front fender?

I could be wrong, just curious, as some have said that in other threads.

the 10.5 wheel will stick out 9mm (almost 3/8") further than the 9.5

Yep....run them on mine and they look fine....could run the later year vette splash shields. Having all four the same allows regular tire rotation and lengthens the life of our tires....

Jegs sells the Toyo Proxes T1’s in the stock sizes. I just received mine yesterday, $695 shipped for the set. Hopefully going to have them mounted this weekend.

FRC not z06, but they should work.
