I like the body shape but for me the windshield slope ruins the overall look.

The SSR was ugly as hell. It showed how out of touch GM management was. I thought it was a mistake the moment I saw one. It was not in the same universe as a two seater classic Corvette.
A little bigger Solstace with a little more power that looked like a '62 Vette at that price point would have sold a lot of units and become a collectible instantly. They could call it the "CORSETTE" Unlike the SSR, I would have bought one. You just have to look at the success of the new Ford GT, Mustangs, Camaros and Challengers to understand what GM missed out on.

SSR? Really?

One of the ugliest cars GM has ever made.

One of those sold at Barrett Jackson a couple years ago for $100K. Not sure how much it costs to convert one.
The ones in the vendor section of Barrett Jackson as you walk in towards the auction area run in the $140k range on a C5 platform. Interested to see if the same folks are there in a couple weeks.

Well above my pay grade.

Definitely not worth the price.

The abortion that lived, trying to make a C5 look like a '53 and newer. I never believed that it would hold any value.

Looks better than some of the conversions, but pricey.
Agree it will end up about the same price as a new ZR1, but this probably "speaks" to a different consumer.

That is better. The windshield makes a big difference.

Yep, the original looks off. Sorry OP (not that he appears to be coming back anyway, maybe just advertising?)

Well IMO the new Camaros bear no resemblance to the originals.........wish GM would build a new Camaro with a 69 body and all modern underneath.

I agree it does have the least resemblance of the three, but there are similarities. The roof and front end are similar. It looks a lot more like the first generation than more recent versions of the Camaro.

Maybe it'd work, maybe not.
-You'd have "why not a '68?" etc. from some. This is at least a new-ish design
-There would be another group calling GM as copping out, unable to provide a new Camaro
-Others would compare little details that can't be carried
I think it would sell limited numbers.

Great Car... though not really my preferred style.

On a side note, I'm kind of surprised that YouTube didn't flag the video for copyright infringement. I've seen other videos (that use even less of a song's entirety) get flagged with a cease and desist citing copyright law. Perhaps the soundtrack is actually a very well done cover (ala Karaoke Version) of the actual Beachboys recording...IDK.

Other than that, the video production is nicely done.

I think the bed is not so bad...the sticker price was a killer for most. Did not get good value for a crazy price. They were priced the same as Corvettes.

SSR? Really?

One of the ugliest cars GM has ever made.

Well I disagree...truly a unique vehicle and not for everyone. Hard to believe how many people absolutely LOVE them. Driving down the road every one from mom and pop to bikers give me the thumbs up. More than my Corvette. So you are not in the loop my friend.

Unique? Yes. Ugly? Yes. I am glad I am not in your loop. It's hard to believe anyone loves them. Probably the same crowd that loves the PT Cruiser.
