Default A project I am working on..

I had a slightly out of round wheel from my Z. I thought I would make it into a bar table for out next to the pool table. I used the base from the wooden top table I have. I removed the top and used the flange from that, mated to a wheel spacer. I am mounting the wheel using the studs and lug nuts on the spacer. Here are pics of it at first assembly, still need to finish up polishing the barrel of the wheel, lay a small bead rubber sticky stuff to hold the glass top from moving.

Very cool. I have the 4 wagon wheels I'm going to do something with whenever I make myself do it. Thanks for the idea.

That looks great. I would be very worried about the weight of the wheel and the high center of gravity making it very easy to tip that over and come crashing down to the the floor. Anyway you can bolt it to the floor or make a much wider base/footprint?

I was a bit worried that it would be top heavy, but once assembled it is better than it appears. It had most of the weight below the mounting points, it is stable.

Now thats cool...such a "man's" piece of furniture...(Im pounding my chest and snarling as I as that)...like a Braveheart chant...lol

Now - if you have a wife that allows that in the house, I pray she has a single sister...if she does, Id like you to give her my number - so I can marry her TODAY!!!

That looks really good - what a great idea for re-purposing a wheel.
