Personally I think that you should buy the best set you can reasonably afford. I had gone with XS power headers about 4 years ago because all reports at the time were very positive. I did have some figment issues, but eventually all the kinks got worked out at no additional expense to me, besides new gaskets and spark plugs from me cracking one.

Going back, I would have reconsidered the extra cash for kooks, although they did end up being almost double the price I paid due to a preorder special.

I didn't mean it that way. I was trying to point out the fact that some "budget" headers are mild steel, which will rust.

Most now a days are SS. I know the ebay/dna brand are. Some big names are still mild steel but feature a coating. End of the day its just tube.

I have installed headers before and this time I wanted the least issues possible.
This video is what sold me on Kooks!

Then I called Kooks and they guranteed me that the installation would be as easy as was shown in their video. And It Was that easy!
And I wanted Super Green Cats so that I wouldn't have codes on start up and would not need a tune just for the header installation. Guess what, no codes!
Plus I wanted to have the headers delivered to me fully ceramic coated so I didn't have to find a trustworthy local coater.
I paid for these things and I felt it was worth it. I paid more but saved on installation time (5 1/2 hours), tune (did not need one) and I got them ceramic coated in shiny silver which looks like chrome. I am probably ahead of most cheaper systems with my savings in the long run. And mine have never scraped the ground never loosened up and never banged against any part of the car. And I have never had to adjust them or tighten them since installation in August 2016.

The guy that owns the shop that installed mine, he does lots of C5s, C6s and C7s, says Kooks go on the easiest. He said my XS power headers were not too bad to install...but not as easy as Kooks.

I just finished installing the texas speed 1 3/4 with 3'' catted x-pipe. Install was a breeze and fitment was bang on! They both dropped in from the top pretty easy. No bending or banging on anything. Very impressed and would definitely purchase TSP headers again, tail pipes line up perfect too!

I went with LG 1in 7/8 i love them. Well worth the money and sound.. was missing 2 clamps when I got the box, shot them an e mail and the shipped them right away. . Fitment was easy. ....AFTER key word AFTER .....you relize the higher jacked up the car the more they just slide into place....
# THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID..... Roughly $300.00 for a tune after so if a shop will install for $400-500 labor with a tune well worth it.. just a heads up..
