Thanks for the story it made remember why my dad brought home a 1961 Corvette back in 1965 and said its yours ,I guess he wanted me to me cool ,well I have been cool from them till now never been without Corvette .Way older but still cool .. Thanks for the reminder its the cool factor.. YEEEEE HA
Im amazed how many compliments i get in my c5. Its basically stock almost 100k miles, lowered on c6z reps with exhaust and tinted windows. Ive had some very nice, highly modified cars that were much newer than my '99 vette and never got as many compliments as i do driving this car. Something about a clean c5 people just love and i can't blame them!
I took my 03 out of storage last week. My dad kept it in his garage and he detailed it inside and out for me.
i drove it to the casino last night and went through valet. When they pulled it up as I was leaving I overheard a few people talking amongst themselves saying “yeah...you WISH that was your car”. On top of that, when the valet got out of it he told me how much he liked it, and asked how many miles it had. He couldn’t believe it when I said “107k”. He said that he thought it maybe had 40k on it and that he thought it was immaculate.
Not to sound arrogant but sometimes it’s nice to get compliments. Thanks for the detail job, Dad!!
