Want to find these fog light screens
I saw these on craigslist and in a older post (2014) and wondered if anybody knows where you can purchase these. I did a pretty good search but couldn’t find these two anywhere to purchase. Your help would be appreciated. Thanks, Joe

For the second set, you can do the same thing with a drill - simply drill some holes in the plastic and reinstall the cover. A dremel may work too once you outline where the holes should be.

Thanks and that’s what I may have to revert to vs buying a set but I was hoping to find them to plug-n-play. Meanwhile, I’ll root thru my dremel stuff.

I used a 3/4" spade drill bit in mine before I put the mesh grills over them. That is easy and works great. I think I got 11 holes in them without getting into the fog light hole - staggering them, 6 on top and 5 on the bottom.

Thanks, that’s not a bad ideal also. I do have a spade bit set as well as a forstner drill bit set. Might give that a try.

The second set is still offered. I can't remember the exact vendor but I want to say it's someone like Ecklers or similar that has them. They're... a bit pricey, to say the least.
The first one would actually be easier to make than the second and you could probably make them look better than in that photo. What I would do is Dremel out a square out of the stock units, go to Home Depot and get a $4 mesh guard in their gutter section, go to a parts store and get black door edge guard, apply the door edge guard to the opening, then epoxy the mesh to the inside of the opening. At the worst you're out $15 to do that work.

Corvette Recyclers sells used original covers for $9.99 each and have them both in stock. Maybe I’ll purchase those and do the modifications and then replace my existing ones on my car.

I purchased mine on ebay, they had never been installed, paid half the cost of what they sell for new, were more involved to install than I thought they would be.
My main worry is that they will introduce more road grime/dust into my engine compartment as I keep mine pretty clean.

The bumper cover remains in place, but IIRC, you do have to remove the cover pieces that are under the front of the bumper. I know that sounds vague, but I installed the "open", Z06 style cove inserts in my C-5, and it was about 14 years ago when I did it. They install from underneath.....

To make installation easier I removed my center air box for the radiator.
You also need to remove your fog lights, the 2 bolts pictured are easy to get at.
Holes at the bottom hold clips for your wiring harness.
This bolt is a pain, it also holds one corner of your marker light so you can't just remove them to make it easier to install the bolt.

My friend with a c5 saw this post and liked the the fan shroud with the mesh, so I dedicated some to time to make it for him. I got some black mesh from online, formed it to the original shroud, cut out the shroud and then glue the mesh on.
