Just the headunit, keeping the rest of the system intact, or do you want to gut everything out and do a complete new installation from scratch?
Well i was thinking of changing the head unit to a double din, but just now looking to install a isimple unit instead, i hope i will have luck finding one.

I have two iSimple units for the C5.
Both are set up for iPod use.
Is this what you are looking for?

If you are not completely sure which way you want to go, take a look at this post to see the different options available before making a decision.
I just put an Isimple unit in my 'new' 2002 C5. It connects to the 12-disc changer harness and provides a 3.5mm connection. You can get an adapter to change from 3.5mm to lightning. They work well, but they won't charge your IPhone/Ipod/Ipad. I finally stumbled onto this converter which does both:

That looks great brother, did you upgrade your sound system?
just the head unit, used the pac interface, that kept the factory Bose speakers and amp.. I'm into the go fast stuff and sound of the exhaust instead of the tubes being cranked up...
I love the sound system in my car. Getting rid of everything Bose was the best thing I ever did. That was 12 years ago. Now I am faced with changing the radio head from Pioneer to Kenwood and this will open pandoras box for even better sound and functionality. As far as staging, the C-5 is a perfect platform. I sound staged my car, the head unit is good but does not accommodate many modern connections, the speakers I love. The amps, could be a little more robust. So, I upgrade the head unit and connections and then save for the upgraded amps. The sound system in my car cost more than the trade in value of my Vette. Please don't tell my wife.
