Default I like them

I like them but just haven’t gotten around to adding. I think they give the C5 a nice touch without being over the top. Post pics if you decide to add.

If you like the look of the fender stripes, put them on. Doesn't matter what others think. And if they are just vinyl and not paint, you can always remove them later with little problem.
Haven't added them to my current '03 because I have enough stripes on the car now.
Well, now I know who to thank for the measurements!!
I make my own. Below are my current ones that I’m replacing soon. It’s a colorshift vinyl, but it doesn’t match my brakes as well as the new colorshift vinyl I have. I used Jack’s measurements to make my template.
Some advice from a vinyl ‘dabbler’. I’m no expert, but for exterior use, you need to use certain vinyls. Lots of people talk about 3m Di-noc. I called 3m for advice and I was told it’s not for automotive use. Thicker vinyl is harder to form to curved surfaces.
3M recommend’s their 1080 line. I’ve used Oracal and Avery as well.
Guys, don’t break your necks on this. It’s not that hard, but take your time and make a pattern. Check it over and over again.
Point of information. ‘Typical C5” stripes from vendors are usually a bit thinner and are completely parallel. C6’s are wider and usually one is wider than the other. C7 stripes, which I pattern mine after are actually like an upside down U. They are also tapered from the hood line to the wheel well.
C5’s don’t have ‘enough fender’ to successfully place a C7 stripe, so I use the lower portion. Do all the width cuttin on a bench.
For the hood line and particularly the wheel well line, use “knifeless tape”. The difficulty in getting the exact curve of the wheel well is very, very tough and not worth the work. (Btw,none of this last part applies if you’re wrapping the stripe under the fender...make sure the surface under there is extremely clean)
With knifeless tape you can follow the curve of the wheel well and make a nice line on top of the fender parallel to the hood. No danger of using a knife on the vinyl when it’s in place. I’ll gladly expound further if anyone else is interested.

I didn’t notice the blue stripe was too thin until I took the pic!! I fixed it immediately.

I added mine about a month after I bought the car. I’ve always loved the Hash mark look, and will probably add them to a c7 Z06 when I finally make the jump in a few years. I know they’re associated with grandsport but... I really don’t care lol. They look great.

is it possible to put them on with top further to the back so they are pointing ''top back'' rather than ''top front'' or are they pre-die cut ??

I bought a strip of 3M and cut my own. So, yes you can cut them anyway you want.
