Use vert top cleaner then 50/50 bleach and water for mildew if needed. Then 303 or the like. Wet car down and applie with rag so it will not run or contact paint. Keep car wet while using. Do not get on anything but top.

Tried the Ragtop kit. Very dissatisfied with results. Cleaned and let dry for a few days and used almost a full can of the protectant. About a week later in the rain i noticed the top was not beading water and appeared to be soaking in the top. It didn't look like there was ANY protection on it at all. No user error guys, I followed instructions to the letter. Going to order some 303!!!

Sorry - but it had to be user error because the protectant works like a charm after only one application and it wasn't even close to a full can (or even 1/2 a can) - it beaded water immediately after it dried. Added a second application and it worked even better and still worked over a month later when I washed the car again... Maybe your top is older and very porous. If you almost finished the can with one application, then the wind must have been blowing and you had very minimal product actually get on your top.

Default Agreeed- Raggtop works!

I agree with Mayor. A longtime Vette owner told me about Raggtop when I got my vert. It worked great and took it from dingy to bright. It beads up in rain or washing for a year. I didn't use much of the protectant spray, certainly not a whole can.

Same here, you do not want to get that stuff on the paint or anything but the cloth top. Top on the vert is 13 years old and looks like new.
