Convertible Hatch supports
My 2000 C5 convertible top storage cover need to have the supports replaced. When I open the trunk lid to remove the rear mount, I see it is covered by a plastic cover. Before I break something, can anyone tell me how to remove the cover?

I cant help you with that portion of the project, but I recently replaced my trunk lid supports with AC Delco ones from rock auto and they were a great price and delivered fast. and super easy to replace like less then 10 miutes

The plastic piece is in the shape of a U. In the middle of the U there is a tab that slides into the fixed slot on the car. Just carefully pull it back towards you and you should be fine.
