Default windshield wiper arm removal

I have decided to try and replace my oil pressure sending unit via removal of the cowl however I can't even get past the first step. I removed the nut from the base of the windshield wiper arms but can't get the arm removed from the post. Is there a secret? I am afraid to pry too hard.

It pulls straight up, just use a rocking motion while prying up.

There are a few different types of removal tools if you want to be safe.
