Default Bullet Damage - Z16 Carbon Fiber Hood

All,

My Z06 was the victim of a stray bullet this weekend. Chipped the carbon fiber hood pretty good.

Does anyone have experience repairing carbon fiber panels? (would be great if there is any specific experience with the Z16 hood)

If you ever decide to not want it make sure somebody good gets it. Don't waste it.

I'd look through the best google ratings for body shops local to you. Those people will be there should you need to go back.

Since it's painted it won't be any trickier to repair than fiberglass.

You may want to pose your question in the Paint/Body section to see if anyone there can give you some advice.

normal fiberglass techniques are just fine. The type of hood i.e. z16 is irrelevant to bodywork.

Actually more exciting than that...two cars chasing each other exchanging shots. Apparently that happens in real life and not just movies.

reached out to Abel Chevrolet.

Depending on quote for the repair...may just wait it out for one to pop up for sale here on the forums or go with a vented hood for track duty.
