No problem, it should work with any 12 volt battery

What tender did you get with the car?? I have two Deltran Battery Tenders and they work great on both my C5 and C4. Over the winter I leave them connected to the cars so that the batteries are always fully charged and ready to go.

I installed the cable ends that have ring terminals so all I have to do is to connect the cable from the Tender to the car. Don't even have to open the hood

I do not think you would have any problems using that Battery Tender on your C5.

How did you run the wires on the C5?

Thanks all, now I have a battery drain problem, will be looking into that this weekend. Install a new red top and battery was dead in 2 days.

I attached the ground wire on the tender end with the ring terminal to the negative battery cable. That battery terminal had been replaced at some point so all that was necessary was to remove the cable clamp, place the ring terminal on the clamp bolt and re-connect the cable to the battery.

For the positive side, I attached the ring terminal to the B+ post at the underhood fuse box. I ran the cable up to the corner of the hood and just let it sit there. It came with a molded cover so it can't get wet or damaged.

I have a yellow top and it has both side and top terminals. I connected the tender to the top terminals and run the connector from under the hood and cowl.
