I just jumped my vette. Battery was dead from the winter. I kept it in the garage so it didn't get snowed on. When I took it for a ride it said service tire monitoring system. Do you think if I just reset the DIC they will relearn the pressure?

let me know what works, i have my 5 spoke rims with tpms sensors off the car and the z06 wheels with out sensors on the car. and for several weeks the car would pick up the tires in storage and read those. i suspect since the tires in storage arent rotating the sensors stopped sending signals and now i have the same alert

Did you fully charge your battery after you jumped it?
The battery should be disconnected and a battery tender should be used during long term storage. It saves a lot of grief when you take it out.

This just happened to me last week when I also took my car out of storage, it was parked for 6 month and I had the battery disconnected!
Fist thing when I started the car and drove it I got the service tire monitoring system, of course this really bothered me as I had to know what pressure my tires were after parking the Vette for a while, So I did research on the net including this site...it is very easy..I went to Canadian Tire (Canada here) and got my self a magnet for 5 bucks, I went to the car, got on my phone and followed the instructions on how to get the computer to re learn the tire sensors and was done in 5 minutes, now it works perfect!! In the past I would park the car for 3 or 4 month and never had to do this but this year it was parked longer than usual and this happened to me!

I put the 5 spoke rims back on and mine fixed itself also.
