I have had great results from my Optima Redtop battery. 3 years old now and going strong.

I have the AutoCraft Platinum AGM Battery. It listed for around $179 less 30% off with their online coupon. Do a search for Advance Auto discount codes. To me it's worth spending a few dollars more on an AGM battery for peace of mind.

You may also want to look at the Odyssey Extreme, 34/78 PC-1500DT, replacement for DieHard Platinum.

if you are looking for a light weight battery, go with inexpensive one. The cheaper the battery, the lighter it is. I have an AutoZone. It's light weight and starts my car. I have money left over to spend on other trick mods.

This is what I use. Good price, good warranty, 10% discount if you order online and pick up at store. It will fit any year C5. No complaints. Late models with top post you will have to make slight mod to connectors (straighten them out)

Best advice right there.
Doesn't matter if you get an AutoZone battery, Optima battery, or Walmart battery, get an AGM style battery! You do not want a conventional battery leaking in a C5
P.S. I've always had good luck with Optima's D34/78 yellow top.

I have just a tad of extra electronics on mine
