makeshift ramp..
This is going to sound ridiculous, but..
My low oil light came on, so I checked the stick and it appeared to be very very low. (mistake #1, don't trust the dipstick) Anyway, I added two quarts (mistake #2, no comments necessary :p:) To make a long story short, I needed to drop the oil level and didn't want to drive it with so much extra oil. I don't have a ramp or jack or anything related.
So, something I discovered while trying to solve this: The Z06 can just barely drive up the edge of a handicapped cutout of a curb. That is, you drive one tire up the edge of the curb at a corner where the cement drops down to meet the road. Driving it all the way up there gives you just enough clearance to crawl under the front of the car to do what you need to do. You might even be able to do a full oil change this way, but that seems like a bad idea since the car won't be level.
Anyway, when you back it down, it's a good idea to have someone pull back the low hanging plastic in the front, because it could potentially scrape a lot as you come off of it.
Just something to keep in mind if you really need to get under the car and have no other way of doing so.
