Seems to always rain whenever we get more than 50 miles from home and so far (knock on wood), the car has not shrunk.

My 03 got a few drops of rain on it for the first time in what... 15 years about a week ago. Has never had water stains anywhere on it. Not about to start. A quick wash and dry and all was okay with the world.

But... Ha! I'm not really that weird about it. Rain has never hurt any of my Vettes. And I've driven through some gnarly weather here in Houston.

Damn, just watched the video on cleaning them. Considering my car sat outside for a decade, I'll bet they are clogged. Oh well, will be an interesting trip when I get back!

You should be OK. Only about one in five will have a problem with a wet BCM caused by clogged udders.

Rained for most of 9 hour cruise to The Museum right after I bought it. I swapped out the original Trico blades after 7 hours and have not had to use the wipers in the rain since. That was 2 1/2 years ago.

Drive mine in the rain three to four times a week.....and that's been going on for years. Car still looks great...and hasn't melted yet.

Funny you mention the wiper blades.....

As I previously mentioned, I seldom drive my C-5 in the rain, so the condition of the wiper blades was of little concern to me. I got caught in some drizzle, about 10 days ago, and turned on the wipers. The driver's side blade began to fall apart, as it was the OE blade, 17 years old.

While not "allergic" to getting wet, I already don't get enough seat time in my weekend car, and I sure as heck hate spending it detailing....I'd much rather be driving it.

Mine saw rain just after purchasing it. Left the dealer for the drive from Missoula to Couer 'd Alene, and it rained almost the whole drive. I always garage it, and it almost never rains where I live, but "never rained on" didn't have a chance.

Gosh seems like too many people are more fragile than their vettes.

I've put more than 100K on the 95 and conservatively speaking at least 50,000 miles were driving in the rain.

The 04 has almost 70K and more than half of that was done in the rain.

(It's rains here almost every day for 7 - 8 months of the year.)

Other than some minor interior leaks, no water related issues with either vette .... and as you can see they all clean up nicely.
