Default The 24 Hours of Le Mans 2018

Another year, another opportunity for bragging rights on a world stage...This is the premier race car event in the world, and has the effect of national pride like the World Cup and the Olympics, it's that important.

Corvette Racing in it's 19th year of returning to Le Mans is seeking a 9th class win.

C5-R wins at Le Mans....2001, 2002, 2004
C6.R wins at Le Mans....2005,2006, 2009, 2011
C7.R wins at Le Mans.....2015

I would have thought that the amount of people that complained(including me) about Corvette Racing not having live streaming last year from the cars would've insured that would be remedied. Apparently, we're going to have to suffer another year without it as well. Truly a shame, because you talk about addictive and thrilling to watch them jockey position against the competition.

However, here is the old faithful website, year in year out, that provides just about every facet of the race you could possibly want to know. Live timing and stats all the way from green to the checkered.

God Bless America, God Bless Corvette Racing....

Thanks for the link. Our un-boosted Corvettes will be hampered against the Porsches and Fords as usual but it's always great to see the C7R on the world stage.
Velocity channel will show the European feed live for the entire event.

Hopefully it will be a very competitive race and Team Corvette will be right there fighting for the win the entire race.

I went in 2010 and it was one of the best experiences of my entire life.

Corvette's multiple wins/domination with the C5 in arguably the most significant car race in the world is why the C5 is one of the most important Corvette generations.

I'm watching on the Velocity channel right now...will try to watch as much as I can throughout the night too.

I forgot to add the other website in my original post.....

https://www.lemans.org/en/24-hours-of-le-mans

Corvette Racing #63....Driven by Jan Magnussen, Antonio Garcia, and Mike Rockenfeller are currently running 7th in class but, along with the other top 6 are all very close to each other. With just a little over the halfway mark, it's still anyone's race to win. No one in GTE Pro yet, has set sail and broken away from the pack, it's that heated.

Corvette Racing #64....Driven by Oliver Gavin, Tommy Milner, and Marcel Fassler are currently running 15th and well behind the lead being down 5 laps.

Looks like this has the potential to be another close one like it was last year.

Last year was an excellent battle at the end of the race with Aston Martin. That really made the race for me, adding tension all the way to the last few minutes.

At this moment, C7R piloted by Jan Magnusson is 7th in gt pro. Porsches in lead, and the fords closing the gap behind. In gt am, it is Dempseys Porsche leading with 3 Ferraris in pursuit.

As we know, it can still be anyone's race.

The Corvette is the best sounding engine in the field. Just as on most tracks, you hear that monster coming and going!

I have to say this has been a monster of a race in LM GTE Pro

The #63 Corvette C7.R currently running 5th, on the lead lap behind 2 Porsche's and 2 Ford GT's, with just over 30 minutes left in the race.

The C7.R has been extremely competitive, and has the class leading lap time. The problem is, the competition is brutally fast as well. Over all the years I've watched this event, this year by far has been the most fierce. There's just no room for error.

Amen. I was watching much of the race from the #68 Ford gt. There was a time around 2am est where the C7R was a lap down and the Ford came up behind it, but then could never quite catch it. This went on for quite some time. Impressive as heck. Quite the team effort!
