If I'm reading right, it's basically an LS6 intake that's shiny. FAST is the goto around here, so not sure how much experience anyone has with this specific IM. Looks like a very expensive bling piece. Only you can tell if thats worth it to you.

If you're simply looking for an LS6 intake, there are much cheaper used and new options. If you're looking for more power down the road I'd go with a FAST.

You could probably get something that looks better at 1/3 the price if you went for a quality cover instead of the whole intake. I've thought about adding a few carbon fiber parts in the engine bay myself.

with both of the above. The one you have pictured looks great but many here go with the FAST intake if you are looking to spend that kind of money. At least it is something to consider before your purchase.

If you are looking to add things to the engine bay for show purposes then yes you are on the right track.

All the above and............................
What is your intended purpose for the manifold?
Show - it looks good.
Performance - about the same price as the well tested FAST?
Underhood temps will be appreciably hotter with the aluminum, especially if just street driven (not enough air flowing to mitigate the heat sink properties of the metal).
Going forced induction or a lot of custom porting? Many believe the added strength of the aluminum aids in extensive porting as well as providing additional strength for use with nitrous or supercharging.

And, knewblewkorvette - are you going to paint it blue?

if you just want it for looks you can sand and paint a stock intake and make it look nicer than you may think, you could even paint it chrome if you really wanted to but not something I would do personally... performance wise I highly doubt you would see any benefit either, I wouldn't spend my money on it but that's just me

Notice it says Weiand?

That’s the same intake as the one I posted in your thread a couple weeks ago, a few years newer slightly different look. Remember I said it was marketed as slightly better than the LS6 which is a definite improvement over an LS1?

My Zo6 looks stock outside aside from being lowered but the engine itself is de-cluttered and clean as a whistle. Took 2 years to sand glass smooth and polish along with building/upgrading the internals.

Not for everyone, but in my opinion it’s one of the cleanest LSx engines on the planet.

The fuel injectors are painted, the rest polished.

Hey you can get Chrome tail light louvres to match ya know!

if it’s aluminum, it will be still heavier than the the plastic Fast/ stock, plus the heat rétention as mentioned above.

I port matched the intake to the heads. The car is a lot faster than I need. Good enough.
