Do these compress down and flatten if luggage is put in the back over them, and if so, does it still reduce the noise? And if they flatten out, do they pop up into full thickness again after you take the pressure off?

I received these Saturday after being on back order. I put them in (very easy) and went for a drive with wife. I have a CEM Sound Level Meter DT-85A (decibel meter) and watched the readings as we went down the highway a couple miles with cruise set to 62. Came back and removed the mats and duplicated the drive. We did this twice. With the mats in the readings were 2 to 3 decibels lower. It doesn't seem like much when the decibels get up to about 88 when climbing a hill but we both thought the perceived sound level seemed lower. Is it worth the price? We both think it is - even a little bit helps - in our opinions. I won't be returning them.

Don't be surprised if you notice it gets a slight bit more quieter after the mats have been installed for a few days. Thats because the mats are rolled when shipped. They have a bit of a curve to them plus the foam gets compress a bit. Once they are laid out in the car they flatten out and the foam expands to its original thickness..
Im glad you like the product. Not to bad for a 60 second install.
