I got the above pucks from Rock Auto for $32 for a set of 4. Someone posted the PN here on the CF and I jumped on it. Sorry I do not remember from which Year and Model BMW these are from.

I did the same thing 4 regular hockey pucks and 2 eye bolts works great for slot less

Not sure where I picked up mine , but they are rubber and they work great. Not sure that Aluminum would grip to lift arms or jack as well.

I ended up buying 4 hockey pucks locally, a few years ago I went looking for hockey pucks and couldn't find them at any sporting goods stores.

A few days ago, googled where to buy hockey pucks near me, found a store that is in a building where there are 2 big ice rinks, the black ones were 1.50 each, bought 4.

To jack the car up for a oil change, going to put rhino ramps under front wheels, do I need to drill and add the hardware, or is it safe to jack with the pucks only?

I never plan on leaving them in the framewell.

Or does the eyebolt part help keep it from moving?

eyebolt keeps it centered but its not much for metal strength so make sure you are straight on with jack and it can roll freely as the car is lifted

Got the jacking pucks made, tried to change oil and jack up one side.

Oops, my floor jack is too tall to go under fiberglass, have to buy a new low profile one.

3.5 minimum lift should be ok?

Cheaper than buying a new jack is to drive up on a length of 2X10 to gain another 1 1/2" of height to get your jack underneath.
