I too have been thinking of adding a stripe to my vert vette. An 03 50th. AE pkg. Anniversary Red w/Shale top and interior, great color combo. Only problem, do not know which way to go. Any suggestions on style and color.last car was an 03 Challenger black on black with leather. red seat inserts, hood and side stripes.
thinking of hood spears or stripe from top of hood to bottom of hood with rounded bottom. Color to match Shale, think it would have to be custom done or a silver of some shade to match hood logo. do not know if to carry over to rear deck.
[QUOTE=Surfer G;1597664860]My vette was pewter, and had it wrapped in charcoal with graphite stripes....
That looks fantastic but I need educated. I have no knowledge of wraps or for that matter not much about stripes.....are the stripes separate or part of the wrap?
Not to step on SurferG but I have some hobby level experience with wraps, and any multicolor stripes you usually see are separate pieces. As for Surfer’s car, I don’t know for sure, but I would guess the stripes were applied after, too much body vinyl there to take the chance of shrinkage causing gaps.
I sure wish there was some software to do some simulated stripes using our own pix. I have one for wheels, but not stripes, and I don’t find photoshop to be realistic.
Thanks, the stripes are separate, but the stripes can be printed on the vinyl just more work for the installer.
Want to learn more about wrapes go to u tube, many videos on corvette wraps.....
No worries on high jacking. The top looks good. So many ideas.
8m with who ever suggested some software to add stripes.
I have a pretty good idea of what I want. Just need to dial it in

To dLiebman: Just my 2 cents' worth, but I've seen a 50th Anniversary car exactly like yours that simply had hood "spears" stripes that matched the color of the wheels. It was just a little classy touch to break up the red and it looked terrific.

that's exactly what I have been leaning towards. if going with stripe, thinking same color as body but a little darker that it would stand out but not slap you in the face. looking for class not brass. have seen spears where "corvette" is cut out and body color shows through, looked good.
to dliebman: I have the "spears" with the Corvette lettering cut-outs just to break up all the Crystal Red. Apologies for the lettering not really showing.
