Use the search function buddy, people have been doing this since 1997 take some initiative to research the car you own.

Wow. Thanks for the info. That was so much help. I did look by the way. And most are lowering more than 1 inch from stock height. That's why I ask about 1 inch.

It's doable. Unthread the rear all the way so 1 thread is showing. Take the fronts out and grind off the rubber. That's what I did. I'll go snap a pic for you.

An inch is no problem on factory bolts. I still have threads left and I'm down about an inch and a half.

From everything I've read, an inch is doable on stock bolts

Main concern would be having new bolts on your way or a backup plan (if your c5 is your daily) as the bolts can and will break if youre not careful.

Thanks guys. 1 inch looks really good to me. Helps close the wheel gap. Does 1 inch move the control arms from horizontal any issue with stock length shocks bottoming out.
thanks again both cars look great

I agree with BuzC5, i destroyed my front stock bolts trying to free them up. I ended up removing the spring to work on it on the bench. I used stock replacement bolts, not the aftermarket lowering bolts. Yes, you should get a 4 wheel alignment done when you lower the car.
