You can find some very good deals on Tire Rack, both wheels and tires. I got a set of 18/19's in standard C6 rim widths for a total of $566 as the rears were on sale for only $119 a pop a few years back. Branded as Muscle Sport ZR, bright satin nickel, including matching wheel nuts. And they do look very like C6 ZR1 wheels. Then of course, I blew all the "savings" on a set of Michelin Pilot Sports.......
This spring I got a full size spare wheel and tire for our "other" car - 245/45 -18 tire on an 18x8 rim (exact same spec as the OEM's) for $200 all up from the Rack. We were off on a few thousand mile road trip, and I did not want to have to deal with a "donut" spare. Luckily the compartment in the trunk was designed to take a full size replacement.
Just keep checking as they do have these bargains from time to time. I just find getting them delivered mounted and ready to go is so much less hassle than dealing with tire shops.
So I am going to finally place my order for these rims. On tire rack there are two reviews from c5 owners that they are not able to install the center caps on the rear wheels because the axles stick out too far. In the pictures in this thread all the center caps are on. Is this an issue?

That happened to me too. I used an abrasive flap wheel on an angle grinder to grind down the axle stubs down about a 1/4 inch. Installed the wheels with the center caps. No issues. The center caps feel a little loose and I will probably add a dab of silicone to the back of the caps before summer. Just for peace of mind.

Tirerack is aware of the issue with the rear center cap fitment. They provided me with 2 extra "modified" center caps that had a hole the diameter of the axle stub drilled out on the backside for extra clearance. It helped, but still wasn't enough clearance for my car, so I also resorted to a few minutes of angle grinding. Not a deal breaker at all. Just an extra step that's a one-time thing.

Y'all started a trend. I just ordered a set. Great find! I was having the same debate as the OP. They don't list the 18s for the C5, so I had to ask them to search for it.

Please report back and let us know if the brakes fit. I would like to do that switch as well.
Nope, not even close. You'd have to run a very thick spacer. I picked them up this morning and am returning them to Tire Rack now. They're beautiful wheels but they don't clear C6Z brakes.
