I believe a rod or something blew a hole through the bottom of my oil pan in my 2001 5.7L V8 Corvette. What is an approx figure for getting this fixed?
Depends on how much you do. Are you looking to just buy a motor and install, if so used or new...? Paying someone else entirely? Again, used or new motor?
A few options. Guessing a low of $4-5K if you buy used and install.
If the damage came from within, you're likely looking at an engine replacement ($5k - $10k) depending if you buy a new or used engine and who does the work. If the damage was caused externally and you didn't run the engine dry of oil, you're likely in the $500 range.
Note:. Estimates are my best guess and not based on research.

Should be a pretty close guesstimate. Sorry to hear about the damage to your engine.
You can, of course, get it on the road for less than $4K. Pretty much any used 24x reluctor Gen. III engine will fit, some will respond well to the LS intake and exhaust and produce more power than in the original application. If you do a search on the forum, you will find those who have swapped in 5.3s to hold them while they built other motors, and others who just run 5.3s.
This site has some great information of which engines are which: https://www.onallcylinders.com/2017/...engine-family/
