I traded my 2004 C5 Torch Red Coupe in May, mainly because it had 75K and was about to need tires, battery etc. We DRIVE the things, and I thought the values would be dropping due to miles starting with this season- I would have had 85-90K on it by October. But I really missed the 'Vette- so, two days ago...
...I bought another C5- this time a 2004 LeMans Commemorative Edition Convertible, with (tada!) 16,500 miles, in great condition. It needs some minor paint work, mats, and a travel buddy cupholder but that's it.
It's great to be back. There is nothing (IMO) like a C5 IMO- for all-around performance, value, and even comfort.
They weren't very good ones anyway, and the dealer had removed them to clean the rest of the interior. He had them somewhere to be washed. We SAW them- ugh- so we just left them there..
I loved the coupe. But it SEEMS to me that with the removing and replacing the coupe's top, the weatherstrip gets hacked, then squeaks, I hope that problem is mitigated with the convertible. But I really like both. Probably not a FRC- I like the wind blowing over my bald head.

I have this exact car! Just turned 20k. It is a real head turner. Some mods have been completed-both cosmetic and performance-wise. My dad (who has a 69 and 93 vert) took one look at it and said, "D*mn son, this is a real p***y magnet."
Enjoy the ride, fellow Buckeye. If you would like to trade notes, let me know.
