Hey C5 folks. I'm hoping for a little help with a project that I'm working on.
I bent up my radiator support pretty bad a while back and I'm in the process of fabricating a new one. So I'm
Hoping someone here has one laying around and could give me a side shot of one with a square or ruler so I have a sense of scale.
I'll actually be using the pictures as a reference to cut out sheet metal on a waterjet, so if anyone is interested I could post
pictures of that process as well.
I'm sure this is a little weird for a first post, but I really appreciate the help!
Awesome! I basically need the height from the lowest point to the highest point minus the thickness of the mounting plate.
If you can get me a picture of the side that would be great! The closer you are to 90* with the camera and the more lighting contrast the better.
I'm trying to get a silhouette of the side pieces basically.
Got started on the fab. Lacked a 1 inch tube so I cut some 12 gauge 304, threw it on the press break, and then welded the two pieces together. Although a little time consuming I'm pretty sure that was the easy part.
now I need to find some time to pull my support out so I can get some measurements for the new one.
Pic of my car and water jet for kicks.
